Human Hair extensions are measured in Grades. The "A" grading system is a standard used by companies to advise manufacturers/factories to know how thick they want the ends of their hair extensions. The lower the grades, the cheaper the hair and the lowest longevity of the hair extensions. And the higher the grades the thicker they are at the ends.

Hair extension thickness starts at A Grade, this is the lowest grade available (very spindly at the ends) through to 7A Grade (also known as Double Drawn). At sntcollections, we use high grade hair extensions to ensure you achieve a natural full look.  Our human hair extensions are graded from 6A Grade - 9A Grade. You can buy online with confidence that you can purchase high grade human hair extensions!

How Does The Hair Extension Grading System Works?

Rather than thinking of the hair extensions grading system as determining the quality of the hair, it actually refers to the proportion of strands per bundle that actually measure the full length of the bundle.

For example, every strand in a bundle of 20″ hair extensions will not measure 20″, as each bundle will be made up of long and short hairs.  The more strands that measure the full 20″, the thicker the bundle of hair, and the higher the quality.  This is also referred to as single or double drawn, whereby single drawn would be grade A, double drawn would be the highest listed grade, typically AAAAA or higher.

 Grades Of Human Hair Extensions

Grade A 100% human hair single drawn – e.g. in a bundle of 20″, less than 50% of the hairs will measure 20″.

Grade AA 100% human hair 50% drawn – e.g. in a bundle of 20″, around 50% of the hairs will measure 20″.

Grade AAA 100% human hair 60% drawn – e.g. in a bundle of 20″, around 60% of the hairs will measure 20″.

Grade AAAA+ 100% human hair 75% drawn e.g. in a bundle of 20″, around 75% of the hairs will measure 20″.

Grade AAAAA+ 100% human hair 90% drawn e.g. in a bundle of 20″, the majority of the hairs will measure 20″.
